FlexiShield paint protection film refund/exchange policy and warranty.

Refund/exchange policy :

  • 0 to 2 weeks after purchase: a 25% handling and restocking fee applies.

  • 2 to 4 weeks after purchase: a 50% handling and restocking fee applies.

  • After 4 weeks: no refunds will be granted except for approved warranty claims.

Limited warranty and limited recourse :

Reflek Technologies Corporation warrants FlexiShield paint protection films and window films to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for 10 years from the date of installation on painted automotive surfaces. This warranty covers :

  • Discoloration

  • Color change

  • Cracking

  • Bubble formation

  • Delamination

Warranty details by product :

  • FlexiShield DFR: one-year warranty against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield DFR PRO: two-year warranty against cracking, blistering or delamination. In addition, a one-year warranty covers damage to the topcoat, including minor scratches and abrasions.

  • FlexiShield DFR PRO Lite: 2-year warranty against cracking, blistering or delamination. In addition, a 1-year warranty covers damage to the topcoat, including minor scratches and abrasions.

  • FlexiShield MAT: 10-year guarantee against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield Cosmetic PPF Series 1: 5-year guarantee against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield Cosmetic PPF Series 2: 10-year guarantee against cracking, blistering or delamination, with a 5-year guarantee against fading based on 0.8% fading after 3,000 hours of UV testing. Excluded are bright fluorine-based colors and pinks which, due to their pigment, cannot be guaranteed against initial fading during the 5-year period.

  • FlexiShield HDL: 3-year warranty against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield HP: 5-year warranty against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield STH: 10-year guarantee against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield WSH: 10-year warranty against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield WSH PRO: 12-year warranty against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield DPH: 12-year warranty against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield BHP: 8-year guarantee against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield BHP Lite: 8-year warranty against cracking, blistering or delamination.

  • FlexiShield RPF: 5-year warranty against cracking, blistering or delamination.

Warranty exclusions:
This warranty does not cover FlexiShield products installed on

  • Vehicles used for commercial or professional purposes (racing cars, courier fleets, rentals)

  • Marine applications (houseboats, yachts)

Making a warranty claim :

To speed up the warranty claim process, please register your product. Replacement of the defective film is the only compensation offered and requires valid proof of purchase from an authorized dealer. Labor costs are not covered. All claims must first be addressed to the original installer. Reflek Technologies will grant manufacturer’s coverage only if the installer cannot resolve the claim.

Additional legal conditions :

  • Limitation of implied warranty: implied warranties provided by law, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the applicable warranty period.

  • Limitation of liability: FlexiShield and the installer are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the product, except where prohibited by law.

  • Except where prohibited by law, FlexiShield and the installer of the FlexiShield product shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from the FlexiShield product, whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential, regardless of the legal theory invoked, including warranty, contract, negligence or strict liability. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Care instructions after PPF film application :

  • First 7 days:
    Do not wash your car.
    Avoid using towels to wipe the film, especially near the edges.
    Avoid high-pressure washing.

  • Day 3: Limit your speed to 80 km/h.

  • Water evaporation: it’s normal to see a little residual water under the film. This will evaporate in 15 to 30 days, faster if exposed to direct sunlight.

  • Cleaning: avoid using strong acids or alkalis to clean PPF film, as they can reduce its gloss over time.

  • Peeling or bubbling: contact the installer for professional help. Do not cut or peel the film yourself.

  • Self-repairing and water-repellent: these properties do not guarantee protection under extreme conditions. Clean up bird droppings and dead insects within 72 hours to avoid residue penetration.

  • Microfiber cloths: use high-quality cloths to avoid staining the PPF film.
